The competition for this moment is in the field of art. The theme is ‘Your View of the Covid-19 Pandemic’. Any kind of visuals are accepted, just not digitally created ones. Visuals may include a poster board, tri-fold, watercolor painting, charcoal painting etc..Prizes include cash scholarships and up to 50% discounts on our courses.

Past competitions like the one we hosted in January were related to economics and one was required to come up with a theoretical business plan for a business of their choice. Competition rules are fairly simple and can be found at Here

Welcome to the first ever competition of UpSkill! We invite you today on the warmest of welcomes! The first ever theme is to create a brochure for your new tech company! In the brochure, you must have images, information about your new tech company to ultimately sell their audience! Be creative! One winner will be chosen for the grand prize of $500. We will announce the top 3 winners on Nov. 4, 2020. They will receive a certificate and a medal for their achievement.

November 2020

Welcome to the November 2020 competition. This month’s competition will be related to music! This month’s theme is to create a music piece that represents moments of happiness. The piece must be 2-5 minutes long. You also must submit an essay explaining the choices you made in your music in a PDF file. One winner will be chosen for the grand prize of $500. We will announce the top 3 winners on Dec. 5, 2020. They will receive a certificate and a medal for their achievement.

Welcome to the December 2020 competition. This month’s competition will be physics. Competitors will take the test on Dec. 15, 2020 at 6 pm local time. The last day to sign up for this is Dec. 7, 2020 at 11:59 pm midnight. One winner will be chosen for the grand prize of $500. We will announce the top 3 winners on Dec. 5, 2020. They will receive a certificate and a medal for their achievement.

Welcome to the January 2021 competition. This month’s competition will be a game called “Risk it, Gain it, or Lose it?” This will last from Jan 3, 2021 at 7 am EST to Jan 10, 2021 at 11 pm EST. Competitors must have an account on Upskill. Each competitor will be given a start up of $1000(NOT REAL MONEY) and they will invest stocks in companies. You must have all your stocks sold by Jan 10,2021 at 11 pm EST. We will announce the top 3 winners on Jan 20,2021. They will receive a certificate and a medal for their achievement.

Feburary 2021

Welcome to the February 2021 competition. This month’s competition will be related to art! This month’s theme would be, “Create an Art Piece that represents overcoming personal struggle.” Along with this, competitors must write an essay explaining the choices they made to the artwork and how it correlates to the theme. This will be due on Feb. 26,2021 at 8 pm EST. We will announce the top 3 winners on March 5, 2022. They will receive a certificate and a medal for their achievement. For this month, we will also be giving a 12 count acrylic paint set along with 24 set brushes for the first place winner.

March 2021

Welcome to March 2021 competition. This month’s competition will be “Into the Cyberspace”, where competitors will be gaining points to help make a computer more secure! There will be 3 rounds. The primary round will be from 9 am EST to 4 pm EST on March 4,2021. Top 50% of teams will advance to the semi final round on March 11,2021 which will last from 9 am EST to 4 pm EST. The top 10% of teams will advance to the final round. The final round will be on March 21,2021. This will be from 11 am to 8 pm EST. All team members must have an UpSkill Account to access the competition. There is no minimum amount. There is a maximum of three people in each team. Winners will be announced on April 2,2021. Each team will be awarded a trophy. 1st place team will receive the grand prize of $500.

Welcome to the April 2021 competition. This month’s competition will be “Hit that Mark Without Cracking an Egg”. Competitors must create a catapult that launches an egg. The egg must not break during the launch. Teams that launched the egg closest to the mark without breaking the egg wins! Submissions will close at 11:59 pm EST on April 28,2021. Be sure to follow the instructions on what to include in your video. Winners will be announced on May 5,2021. Winners will get a medal and the 1st place winner will receive $500.

Welcome to the May 2021 competition. This month’s competition will be creating a comic related to the theme “friendship”. The comic must have a minimum of 60 panels. The maximum amount of panels a comic can have is 100. This is due on May 29,2021 at 8 pm EST. Winners will be announced on June 3,2021. Winners will receive a medal and the first place winner will receive a drawing tablet.

Welcome to the June 2021 competition. This month’s competition will be to create a video game. The theme is “Adventure Awaits”. Contestants can be in teams of up to 3 people or compete individually. Submissions are due June 27, 2021 at 11:59 pm EST. Winners will be announced on July 2, 2021. Each team will receive a trophy, and the first place winners will receive an internship opportunity at a video game company.

Welcome to the August 2021 competition. This month’s competition will be a science trivia competition. Teams of 3 - 5 will answer questions during a live event on the UpSkill website starting at 2 pm EST on August 21. Each team has three lives. Getting a question wrong will make you lose a life. The top three longest lasting teams will receive trophies, and the first place winner will also receive $500.
